Trisha Balakrishnan

Senior Director

Trisha Balakrishnan is a senior at The Awty International School in Houston, TX with interests in AI, engineering, business, communications, and physics. She founded Pause2Verify, a tool to help the elderly community with scam detection, works with Mantis AI, and has explored AI, Python, and data analytics through multiple tech programs. She has been involved with iStart Valley through its summer internship, the YEC Innovation Subcommittee, and the iStart Insider podcast. At Awty, she founded the Global Entrepreneurship Club and Project C.U.R.E. Club. She also currently conducts physics research on gamma-ray bursts. Outside academics, she is a nationally ranked and A-rated fencer, three-time USA Fencing All-Academic First Team honoree, black belt in Taekwondo, and leader of Fencing Forward. Her recognitions include a Positive Athlete nomination, President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award, and Congressional Award Gold Medal. She looks forward to continue working with the iStart Valley YEC and inspire, teach and learn from young entrepreneurs.
