Alexander Yang

Senior Director

Alex is a senior at Arnold O. Beckman High School who is passionate about biomedical research, healthcare innovation, and making a positive impact on other people’s lives. He is the co-founder and researcher of SkinSync, a health-tech startup focused on developing a wearable skin patch and mobile app that delivers personalized acne solutions through biomarker analysis. Their team earned the Most Innovative Startup Award and advanced to the Global Semifinals. Beyond research and entrepreneurship, he serves as Director of Technology for his school’s Friday Night Live Club and is a member of the National Honor Society. He also represents youth voices countywide as a member of the Orange County Youth Council, where he collaborates on community-based prevention projects and leads initiatives expanding awareness regarding opioid misuse and other public health issues. In his free time, Alex competes on the Varsity Tennis team and regularly volunteers as a Unified Doubles Partner for Serving Advantage. Passionate about combining science, technology, and service, he is driven to expand his impact by serving on the Youth Executive Committee.
