Innovation Co-Lead

Abhay Tippimath is a senior at McNeil High School with a strong interest in technology, entrepreneurship, and community service. He enjoys building solutions to real world problems and learning how business and technology work together. As a member of DECA, Abhay qualified for ICDC, an honor earned by top competitors from across the world. He was awarded first place at the Texas State Science and Engineering Fair for his original research. He went on to present this research at a professional international conference and publish it in a peer reviewed journal. He was also selected as a Coca Cola Scholars Semifinalist, one of roughly 1,200 students chosen from more than 113,000 applicants nationwide. This places him in the top 1% of applicants for academic excellence, leadership, and service. Abhay uses technology to make a difference. He designed and developed an iOS app that was recognized through the Congressional App Challenge, and he continues to build projects that solve everyday problems. At iStartValley, he was promoted from intern to Innovation Co-Lead. In this role, he helps develop new ideas and turn them into working projects. Leadership and service are central to Abhay's life. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting. As a middle school MathCounts coach, he led his team to back to back state appearances while making math fun and accessible for younger students. He also organizes tutoring and outreach programs that expand STEM learning for students in underserved communities, and he volunteers regularly at local food banks. Outside of school, Abhay enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing video games.
